Hello

Just a quick Hello! I have been so busy with work lately. I usually only work three days a week but have had to go to meeting on my days off and worked 10 hours today instead of my normal 7. I hope to get some time to stamp soon. I have new stamps from TAC, Gina K, and All That Scraps. Now all I need is time.

OH MY!

Someone get me a chair, I think I am going to faint! I just called with a question about my recent order to Gina K Designs and Gina K herself answered the phone. It took me a minute to realize who I was talking to. She was just the nicest gal! (In case you can't tell she is my idol.) I just had to share my brush with greatness. Have a great night!

Snowpeople United!

I have wanted this stamp set (The World Over) from SU for the last year and finally got it off of ebay. It has been retired for a couple of years but I love all three of the stamps in the set. This is the only Christmas one. I stamped the image and then used my Prisma Pencils to color it in. The patterned paper is The Sharon Ann Collection - Little Ones - My Precious Boy and the brads are from the $1 bin at Target. The card on the left also was stamped with Running Stitches from The Angel Company. We are now off for my son's birthday. I hope I survive six little boys!

This is the birthday card I made for my son's teacher. We just got home from parent/teacher conferences and it was all good! I am so proud of him. Well the kids Halloween candy is calling me. See you soon.

I made a very cute card for my son's 1st grade teacher's birthday but don't have it ready to post yet. But I wanted to share that I just ordered a HANNA STAMPS set and I am so excited. Here it is and I am counting the seconds until it arrives. I ordered it last night and tried to post but I think the Hanna site was down. Anywho Yeah for Hanna Stamps! This is the second set released. I loved the first set but didn't let myself buy it but I COULD NOT resist this one. If you are interested here is the link http://www.kreationsbykrissy.com/.

Christmas Card

Hello for little miss sicky. I thought I was feeling better but ended up in the ER last night and then had an ultra sound of my Gallbladder today. The final dx was "it's a virus". While I am happy it is not serious "it's a virus" means there is not much they can do for you. I slept for five hours today and feel a little better but still have some pain in my abdomen. Oh well enough about my trauma drama. I made this card sometime in the last week.

Supplies: Stamps: Carolers from Clearly Wordsworth. Pattern Paper: Christmas Paisley by Paper Studio

Finally My Old Self Again!

Hello out there in blog land. I am finally feeling 94% better this afternoon. I was able to go to work on Wednesday and thought the end of this horrible bug was in sight but it bit me hard once again Wednesday night. I made this card early Wednesday evening but wasn't well enough to even get it photographed and posted until now. I think my debt to the toilet bowl god is paid in full until 2010 LOL!

Hero Soldier Card

Oh my goodness! I was so sick yesterday with the stomach flu. I am still not 100% but definitely better than yesterday. I wasn't up to stamping but wanted to get this posted. I entered this card in a contest but it didn't win so I will give it away to one of you who comments on this post by 7pm (central time) on Thursday 10/18/07.

Thanks Coach!

Today is my kids last soccer games so I made thank you notes for the coaches. Actually my hubby coaches our daughter's team so I made one for his assistant. He has identical twin daughters who are great little players.
This is one for my son's coach. he is a great guy who really encouraged the boys to have fun and in the process they are undefeated! Yeah team!

I am kind of sad to see the season end but now my son wants to wrestle so I am sure between that, scouts and my daughter's dancing we will still be running around little chickens with are heads cut off.

Bosses Day

For all of you who work outside of the home don't forget Tuesday October 16th is Bosses Day. I made this card for my boss and will have all my co-workers sign it. I used this sketch challenge for the card from http://scrapdribbles.blogspot.com/2007/10/weekend-sketch.html.

And this is my card. I really like this stamp set. I often have a hard time making a masculine card but this set fits the bill perfectly.

Supplies:

Stamps: Lazy Days by The Angel Company Patterned Paper: This paper is actually the bag that my purchases came in that I shared a couple of days ago. A lot of the little stamp stores around here have cool bags. I have saved a couple but this is the first one I have used. Ink: Palette Hybrid - Noir and Versamark

Love You A Latte

We just got home from my son's last soccer practice. It was a scrimmage between the parents and the kids. We had a lot of fun and the game ended in a tie. Some of us parents were trying to let the kids win but there was one Dad who was pretty intense. We got a good workout that is for sure! It is only 8 o'clock and my DH is already in bed and I think the kids and I will not be too far behind him! This is my first creation with my new stuff.

Supplies:

Patterned Paper: Moxxie - Season of Change - Splash of Spice and Mocha

Stamp: TaDa Creative Studios - Tea Hee Cup Ribbon: Unknown Sentiment: Printed out on computer

Shopping

I had to take a friend to a doctors appointment in another town that happens to have a great scrap booking store, Memories on Fifth, and I got some fun paper, ribbon, rub ons, stickers and a stamp. Now to go play!

Hi

I made this card from scraps and it was quite fast, simple and fun. The ribbon and the "i" look black but they are a darker brown. There is no stamping involved. I traced the chipboard letters that I got from the Target $1 bin onto the paper and then cut them out. So from me to you "HI!"

Smell My Feet

I used to LOVE to sing this little song when I was a kid tricker treating. " Trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat!" Oh good times. This card took longer to make then I thought it would but I am happy with the results.

Monkey Love

This is one of the first cards I made when I started stamping. I can't tell you much about the paper or ribbon but the stamp is from TAC. I am working on my final Halloween card but it has turned out to be more labor intensive then I though it would be. Hopeful I can share it with you all tomorrow.

Pumpkin Picking

This card is not one of my favorites. It just didn't come together they way I had hoped. Oh Well! I used my Witchybella and stamped her first on white CS and then on Happy Jacks patterned paper by Reminisce. I cut her shirt out of the paper and glued it to the CS. Again my YES! glue did the trick. After I finished cutting I realized the image was upside down but cutting such small things is not fun to me so I decided to just go with it. The pumpkin is from a TAC hostess set from the 2006 catalogue. I used my scallop punch on black CS to punch out three squares that I then lined up and glued together. The Witchybella is larger than I realized when I bought it but I love her. I still need to use the other three Bellas I got a couple of months ago. I have one more Halloween card in my mind that I hope to work on tomorrow then it is on to Thanksgiving. Have a great weekend!

Another Contest Entry

I made another card to enter into a contest in the Patriotic category. This is the sketch challenge from Card Positioning Systems:

And here is my card:

I stamping the image at a friend's house when we were swapping images so I can't give you any info about it. The paper is Patriotic Words by the Paper Studio and I ran it through my Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl folder. I also used my Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet set on navy CS and coasters then glued the paper to the coaster. I used my Yes! glue which I just love when I need something for small images. The coasters give the letters the 3-D effect. I also popped out the solder saying with pop dots. It was a fun card to make. If it doesn't win the contest I will give it to one of you all since I don't know anyone in the service.

Hang In There!

I made this card and bought this gift for a co-worker who was assaulted yesterday at work. He is a great guy who coaches his daughter's softball teams and has worked in corrections for a lot of years. I know we work in a dangerous place but I still always think this stuff won't happen here or not to someone I care about. Denial ain't just a river, huh? Thank God he wasn't badly hurt.
